Risk Characterization and New Risk Issues

TERA staff used a mixtures approach to evaluate the risk from consumption of fish containing both methyl mercury (MeHg) and PCBs, and considered the implication on the MeHg RfD (Zhao et al., in preparation).  In the occupational area, TERA has reviewed methods used by several organizations to develop occupational exposure limits (OELs).  The strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches were evaluated, and an optimum approach was recommended (Haber et al., 2002).
